I have been taking cholesterol medicine for the last 10 years for high total cholesterol that went up to 296 and my LDL was 204. My doctor prescribed 20 mg of lovastatin in the beginning to 80mg of zocor/simbastaten and I was in cholesterol management program, that I needed to have my blood tested every 2 to 3 months. It lowered my total cholesterol to 183 total, 122 LDL & 58 HDL after taking 80mg of Zocor. When I saw my doctor the first week of Sept. 2006, she told me that she and the cholesterol management group will increase the dosage of my medicine or change to a new one as she wants my LDL to go to 70. I told her how could I lower it down since my LDL never went down below 100. My sister introduced me to mangosteen two weeks before I went to the doctor and had been taking it for two weeks. I told the doctor not to change my medication as I was drinking the mangosteen for two weeks. She said, OK try it for two months then get your blood test.

After 2 months I went for my blood test and the results are amazing. My total cholesterol was 142, LDL 58 and HDL 61. My doctor told me everything is great and I have to continue doing what I am doing. My whole family is hooked on mangosteen juice now. Also I painted the inside of my house for two weeks especially painting the beam ceiling, I did not have any pain on my neck or arms. It's like I was not working at all. On Monday, May 7th 2007, my visit to Carolina Cardiology to see my heart specialist yielded some astonishing results, which she acknowledged had to come from Mangosteen juice. In December--with no changes in medication between then and now at pacemaker insertion-- my blood pressure then was 145/92, now it is 132/78. My total cholesterol was 204 then, and is now 144. Also, I have been able to wean myself off of my stomach ulcer medicine completely for the first time in seven years. That is a savings of $60.00 per month!
